This place is the best place to adopt pets. I live on the island I adopted my Rosie from them and I still come into the city for the vet. Nothing but the highest praise I could give this place. Sandra has been wonderful and her staff.Nothing but A+
My little dog had surgery there. Was not a routine neutering. The surgeon, Dr Nelson, couldn't be better. She spent time with me and explained the procedure and prognosis. Her bedside manners are impeccable. She is a great Vet. Many human doctors can learn a thing or two from her and the HS team. The team is amazing. They are so patient with the pet parents and the way they treat the pets is like they were their own. Excellent professional, great care. Please donate if you can. The Humaine Society of New York is taking care of many pets, probably more than usual. They do wonders with their resources and I am impressed that with the pressure some pet parents put on them, they do not snap. Best place for your pet care.
The price for getting spayed was a very reasonable amount. The service was mostly good until they forgot to give my pet the other shots I said yes too & then decided to do it very last minute when I was ready to leave so I said no. They told me that I was going to wait up until 4 or 5pm & yes I received a call from them. I enjoyed the part when the receptionist called each owner by the pets name.
We have adopted two different dogs, two different occasions, and we will do so again. They are very thorough in assessing the personality of the dogs, and cats, so you can find a great companion, who is already house-broken and trained, who is a good fit for your lifestyle. I commend them so much because they are dealing with people who leave dogs and cats with them, for a myriad of reasons. For all the New Yorkers who abandon their dogs and cats with them because they are too busy, or have a relationship, or move, whatever the reason, the Humane Society wants to adopt out their dogs and cats to people most likely to be long term/permanent parents/companions. Their rules are easy to follow if you pay attention and respect them. They are also very supportive of you after you adopt. Keep in
My baby was taken well care of. She was spayed at 10 months old. They provided pain meds and inflammation meds to assist her through her recovery process. It was a package deal. They ran test before taking her in for the surgery. Sign in proces was fast and easy.
