Dog Salon My One and Only

My One and Only has been an absolute game changer for us. When we moved to the Upper East Side, I was worried about finding the right groomer for my labradoodle, Rosie — but Aki completely exceeded expectations. She only works on one dog at a time, which makes such a difference. Rosie is in and out in under two hours, compared to the 4–5 hour days we were used to before. It’s a much calmer, more personalized experience, and you can tell Rosie is more comfortable because of it. The pricing is very reasonable, especially for the level of care and attention you get. And every single time, Rosie comes back looking perfect — I’m consistently so happy with her haircut. Aki is truly amazing at what she does. We won’t be going anywhere else.

Aki is the absolute best. She is So gentle, kind and a fantastic groomer. My dog has never looked better. He gets nervous getting groomed (we had a bad experience at another place.) Aki is the only person he’ll let touch him. Cannot recommend her enough.

My dog had been extremely traumatized by her previous grooming experience in a different place which even induced an otherwise unsubstantiated and unprecedented serious fear of water and people attempting to groom her. After nearly a year, I mustered courage to take her out for grooming again and saw excellent reviews of this place, which was hugely reassuring. I registered her late on Friday evening and received personalized response by text message (no AI!) pretty much immediately that same night, confirming an appointment per my convenience. I left my doggie there after a struggle (with her) and with a heavy heart. The manager/amazing lady running the place could clearly see my anxiety, so she texted me during Metta's spa experience :-) I came back one hour later, to find my baby shiny

I love My One and Only. I have a free self grooming station in my building, and I still only come here! They provide lots of options for shampoos and conditioners. They brush teeth, shave paws, and ear cleaning. I love the carbonated soapy water for my corgi. He’s never been so soft!
