The Downtown Dog

I brought my two dogs in for grooming, teeth cleaning, and nail trimming. They had a great time and came home so fluffy and happy! We have a Bernese mountain dog and a German Shepard so big furry girls and 5 days later they are still both fluffy and beautiful. They also gave some great recommendations for nail maintenance for the now senior German shepherd. We will be back.

Ollie had his 1st grooming at The Downtown Dog & he came out looking so handsome! He smells so fresh & clean. His hair is so soft. Ollie is very sweet & friendly but he is afraid of new things, loud noises, etc. so to hear he was such a good boy lets me know he was very comfortable & loved while there, which is the most important thing. He has very dry & sensitive skin so the fact that they use all natural products, fragrance free, and offer an apple cider vinegar rinse is perfect. The price was extremely reasonable for full service grooming & haircut. They are fantastic...very happy to know I can leave my little bear & he's calm & comfortable. We definitely will be regulars. Took my dog here after she got skunked. They were able to make time for her early on a Saturday morning, last minute and no apt, and did a great job cutting down the smell. Skunk smell does linger but it was much more tolerable when she got back from her bath. Pricing was about average for her size and the service, $120 (she's a 65 lb shepard)

How is this place still in business? The first warning sign to walk out should have been the strong smell of urine and feces that hit me in the face as soon as I walked in. The whole place seemed dirty, dark, and dreary. The salon looks nothing like the Yelp photos. There were piles of dog hair everywhere. My dog does not smell clean at all! She smelled like a dirty moldy crate as soon as I got in the car and the smell is still lingering! I really regret ever bringing my dog here. I don’t think she was even bathed! Her nails were barely cut or trimmed. They also charged way more than other places. Stay away from this creepy filthy place! They didn’t even have a business sign up. The whole place was a turn off. Very unhappy! Complete waste of money.

They did a tremendous job on my dogs! Especially my older one, he just hates overall grooming and can be very dramatic. He looks and smells so wonderful! They both look great! Would definitely recommend Downtown dog!
