The Bond Between (formerly Secondhand Hounds)

My partner and I adopted from TBB a little over a month ago, and we could not be happier with our Gus (formerly Speckles). The volunteers at the rescue are quick to respond to adoption applications and information inquiries. Gus' foster was nothing but wonderful and incredibly helpful throughout the adoption process. The information we received about Gus was very accurate and holds true. The adoption process was straightforward and simple, and the adoption fees are reasonable for all the work put in by TBB. Nothing but wonderful things to say about this rescue!

I fostered this sweet boy, Norman, for 3.5 weeks. He was the absolutely best boy. He got adopted but was returned after a couple days with reports of being “aggressive”. The Bond Between euthanized him the next day. They didn’t give him a chance. He was a 10 month old puppy who deserved patience and grace. He was given neither. The Bond Between failed him. I can no longer say anything positive about TBB. They care more about their appearance and achieving numbers than providing the best care for every animal that comes into their hands.

Had a great experience working with the bond between and was recommended to them by numerous friends and Facebook connections. Records and medical care was thorough and the foster family was great to work with, especially given that they just received a huge influx of dogs the Friday I met with the foster family. Lola (rat terrier/dachshund mix) is everything I could've wanted. Cute energetic and fun :)

I’m getting better at giving positive reviews when things go well, instead of just complaining when things go poorly. Our experience was truly fabulous. Felicia was our new puppy’s foster mom and she was a pleasure to deal with. We picked him up from the Bond Between location and were treated like royalty. They sent us all his paperwork and even our Vet was impressed with how comprehensive the info was. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
