The Barking-lot

I live in Burlington but bring my dog to doggie daycare in Lake Geneva to The Barking-Lot and I’ve been doing that for eight years. Our dog Summer has been going there since she was a puppy. She’s 8 now, so basically her whole life has included this place. She’s done dog daycare, boarding, and grooming over the years, and I can honestly say we’ve never had a negative experience. She is happy and over-the-moon excited every single time I drop her off. It’s consistently clean. It always smells fresh and welcoming. I love that the staff actually know her. This isn’t some big box place where you have to use name tags because there are seven Goldens named Max. They greet everyone by name. They know their customers and their dogs, and it truly shows that they treat everyone like family. They

Penny attends the Barking Lot regularly for doggy daycare. The staff is wonderful and you can tell they love all their customers! They have cute activities for holidays and special treats for purchase. Penny also gets groomed there monthly. She always looks so cute and clean. I know Penny is always in good hands here!

I bring my dog Bella and she is one year old. She loves coming over playing with furry friends! Now she is 7 years old fast time. I’m little anxious leave my dog Bella boarder and I know awesome people always good care of my dog and pictures. 💗

I boarded my dog at The Barking Lot for 14 days over winter break and was told her stay was “perfect” with no issues. That was not true. When I picked her up, she was extremely dehydrated, having trouble urinating, and later had accidents at home. I rushed her to the vet and learned she had lost 8 pounds since the week before boarding. On top of that the vet confirmed that she has had a bladder infection that started the previous two day, which was when she was at The Barking Lot. When I called The Barking Lot, they admitted they had noticed excessive drinking, stress, and that my dog had an accident while in their care (which my dog never has)—none of which was ever communicated to me. We boarded our Millie girl with The Barking Lot this past weekend, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place! It was our first boarding experience and we are from out of town, so naturally we were worried about how well our girl would do, and she couldn’t have been in better hands. They sent us daily updates and pictures and made sure our girl was having the best time! Thank you to all the wonderful staff members who took care of our baby! We will definitely be bringing her back next time we stay in the area :)
