Lake Geneva Animal Hospital

This was my first visit to this clinic, and I want to be very clear that Dr. Gretchen and the medical team were wonderful—knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough. My rating does not reflect my experience with them. Unfortunately, my experience at the front desk and with the “office manager” was the opposite. When I asked about splitting my bill, I was told this needed to be “approved ahead of time,” which immediately raised the question: how would a first-time client know this policy if it was never explained or provided beforehand? No estimate, no policy disclosure—nothing. When I asked for clarification, the staff member appeared personally offended, huffed and puffed, and walked away to get the office manager. I could still hear scoffing and snickering as they discussed my request

Dr Scot and his team are awesome! From the first contact phone call to post surgery they all were helpful, caring and knowledgeable. They all treated Zoey, my dog, like she was their own. Dr Scot went above and beyond to help with Zoey's care. He took time to explain the surgery and answer all my questions. He was professional yet down to earth and caring. He came so highly recommended from my Kenosha vet that I traveled to L.G. to recieve surgical care for my pup. Because of his past life experiences, he is especially compassionate and it shows in his way of treating people and pets. If my Zoey ever needs surgery again I definitely would take her to Dr Scot....he is an earth angel 😇

These vets and staff are truly angels in disguise in the animal world, they saved my baby's life!!!! I love and adore them!!!

First visit. Transitioning from Illinois to Wisconsin and since we've spending more time in Wisconsin, we thought it made more sense to have a vet in Wisconsin. I arrived early, assuming there would be some paperwork to fill out. Facility was very clean and staff was friendly. However, I had a 2:00 appointment and wasn't shown to the exam room until about 2:30. The vet tech came in and apologized for the delay and asked the preliminary questions. She said I was next in the queue. Dr. Alexa came in around 3:10. She was extremely pleasant, answered all of my questions, addressed all of my concerns, and left me feeling as though I had made a good choice in a new veteranarian. What else can I say, they truly saved my dog Scrappy’s life. After taking him to two different vets over the course of a week, he was on his last leg. We were even told by the first vet that he was fine for us to go on a trip and there was no need for us to cancel it, but while we were away, we got a call that he was throwing up again. When we got home, he was dehydrated, down six pounds, and clearly declining. I kept suspecting a blockage, but other vets told us he was clear. Luckily I found Lake Geneva Animal Hospital and they actually listened. They paid attention to how Scrappy was acting, took my concerns seriously, and got to the bottom of it. They performed an ultrasound, confirmed there was likely a blockage, and got him into surgery the same day. Within 24 hours, he was already
