We’re happy when our cat is happy—and this place always delivers! The staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming, with great prices and a wonderful selection of unique items. They also have beautiful parrots for sale, and it’s clear they take excellent care of them. A charming local shop that truly loves animals!

My three parrots (Chicky, Mango, and Bobby) absolutely love the custom bird food from this place! As soon as I open the bag, they fly over with so much excitement. The mix is fresh, well-balanced, and full of variety. Plus, the price is super reasonable—way more affordable than many commercial brands, and my birds actually enjoy it! Thank you for making such a great blend that keeps my feather babies healthy and happy every day!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about The Animal Company. My family and I purchased a baby African Grey parrot from them, and from day one, Ellen, Rick, and Lyz were outstanding. They guided us through every detail of caring for our first “big bird”—from feeding tips, safety advice, and living setup to helping us bond properly with our new companion, Moon. I have been to many pet stores in the Bay Area and this is a high quality store with an impressive selection of birds and supplies. I have had several bird species in the past and I wanted to try a new one and they were very knowledgeable and didn't rush me and my new bird. I read the negative comments and those customers were usually at fault just look at the overall review rating they are at 5 stars.
