Moved into our forever home and finally decided it was time to get the dream aquarium I’d always wanted. I ended up with a 1,000-gallon showpiece and a 300-gallon sidekick—both completely custom builds from the glass to the plumbing and filtration. Before committing, I visited multiple stores around San Antonio to find the right expert to help bring my vision to life. Cody stood out as the most knowledgeable and helpful person I’ve come across in the aquarium world. He is genuinely passionate about aquariums and helping people create their own slice of nature. He walked me through every step, made sure I got exactly what I was paying for, and even saved me money in a few places—which was a huge bonus. Would rate 0 starts if I could. Ownership changed and the new owners wouldn’t honor my almost $700 in store credit from supplying them with fish in the past. Edit after the owners response: it was in fact around 3 years ago when ownership changed. I remembered you guys existed when I drove by the other day and figured I’d share my experience since you guys do not honor or respect the community. Attached is a photo I found in my camera roll of a business card, the old owners would use these to keep track of store credit as well as a ledger kept at the counter. You can see a date in the top left. The cards would contain the date and the store credit balance as of that date.

Best experience we have had at any fish store we have been too. Cody is very knowledgeable and can talk you thru any new adventure you are wanting to take with any type of aquarium. Great prices on everything. And everyone is friendly and helpful.

The conditions in which the store keeps their fish are egregious. I purchased ghost shrimp from them and more than half have died and the remaining half all present signs of fungus or bacterial infections. At first I appreciated the excessive amount of extra fish and shrimp, but now I understand why.( Edit) Some of the live-bearers now have ick. Regardless of if they were used as feeder fish or not, they should be disease free; especially ick.

I had such a great experience ! The they were very helpful, friendly, and patient. They took the time to explain everything I needed to start my first saltwater tank and made sure I understood how to set it up properly. They even kept my fish safe until my tank was ready, which I really appreciated. I’m so happy with the service I received and highly recommend them to anyone starting their saltwater aquarium journey!
