Tails by the Wayside

Tails by the Wayside has been around for 21yrs plus. Heather knows dogs and they love her. Over the years, all my dogs have boarded with her. They love it and are exhausted when they come home. always excited when we got near. Our current dog goes for the day to play and run around with the other dogs. He loves and whines to get out of the car as we approach. Heather's area is set up perfectly for safety and fun. Highly recommend Heather and her crew.

Jäger has been going to Tails by the Wayside for daycare once a week and boarding a few times a year for nearly five years, and we couldn’t be happier with the care he receives. Heather and her team are fantastic—professional, easy to work with, and, most importantly, they truly care about the dogs. We’ve never had any issues, and it’s such a relief knowing Jäger is in good hands. Our mini-golden doodle has been going to Tails for over 3 years now a couple of days per week for day care and occasionally for boarding when we’re out of town. Without exception, her tail starts wagging when we turn into the driveway and runs to get in as soon as she can. Heather and her staff take great care of all the fur babies. Areas for both large and small dogs, they are all clearly loved and well cared for. Can’t imagine sending our dog elsewhere.

This is THE place well socialized dogs want to be when you have a vacation planned. Over a 20 yr period we boarded multiple Labs here and each one behaved the same; you open the car door and they bolt for the kennel entry to see who’s boarding there this trip. For owners this is a guilt free decision. Your dogs will love you for it.

I can’t say enough great things about Heather and her team at Tails by the Wayside. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that the staff genuinely care about the dogs in their care. The facility is clean, well-organized, and full of fun activities to keep the dogs engaged. My dog, a French Bulldog, is not the easiest so early socialization was a must. We have been going to Tails by the Wayside for 3 years now and I always feel confident knowing he’s in good hands! For daycare, there are plenty of play areas, both indoors and outdoors, so dogs of all sizes can have fun safely. The staff members are always keeping a watchful eye on the dogs. As a small business, I know my dog isn’t just a paycheck. They truly care about him and his wellbeing, which is not something you find easily!! I
