Dr. Abernathy and his staff are truly wonderful. I honestly feel super blessed to have my pups in such wonderful care. 10/10 have had such wonderful experiences even when we had to make difficult decisions with our pets.

Absolutely love this place and I’ve only been there once, so far. Left them a message to make an appointment because my dog has been having seizures for the past few years and the other vet I was going to did nothing about it. My dad referred me to sunrise cause he takes his dog there. They were able to somehow get me in that day- which is much appreciated. Dr. Abernathy is great, well educated and caring. He explained to me that putting my dog on a seizure medication would hopefully help him in the future- which is way more than the other vet did for me. The staff there is awesome and friendly. Was a great price too. I’m so happy I finally found my pets a good, trustworthy vet. Highly recommend.

First and foremost, everyone posting negative reviews for long wait times is a little ridiculous. I’ve been going to Dr. Abernathy for over 10 years. He cares. He cares so much about our fur babies. He’s had a long wait this whole time and especially now that he is the ONLY vet, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to give him and his staff some grace. His staff have always been kind and presented good attitudes with me. Not only does everyone work very hard to answer my questions or help get my pets seen as soon as possible but they always treat everyone I see waiting with me, with professionalism and great customer service. I’ll wait all day if it means my animals get Abernathys care. Thank you Dr. Abernathy and team!

Dr. Abernathy has been my pets doctor since 1988. He hasn't just seen all my 4 legged babies, I have taken 2 parrots, an 11 foot Burmese python, and three bearded dragons. His knowledge with all animals is awesome! He handles his patients great with great patience

Dr Abernathy has been our family vet for many many years and we highly recommend him to everyone we know. Dr Abernathy has always shown great compassion for our many fur babies that we have taken him through out the years, He is a very humble person and is so easy to talk to he always gives his best to every patient and I just wanted to give a shoutout to Dr Abernathy for always giving 110% everyday!
