I am so grateful my vet recommended Chris Carr of Stronghauss for training of my Belgian Malinois puppy. I must admit, I have heard stories of how strong minded this breed can be but due to my “I can do anything attitude” decided I could walk this training path alone. Well I learned real quick I couldn’t. Chris immediately set up an initial meeting with me to assess my puppy. He had some aggression issues that carried over to disobedience and not listening to anything I wanted him to do. I was quite nervous at first wondering if I took on too much and if Chris would be able to help. Well let me tell you that within the 10 days of boarding, coming back to pick up my dog he can do a perfect heel, lay down, sit, place command, and inside command. Chris was beyond amazing. He did exactly what he promised & got our 10 month old Goldendoodle puppy to behave on a lease. Within 5 minutes of dropping him off for his first day, he had already gotten him to stop jumping, so I knew he was in good hands. After 10 days of training and now nearly 3 weeks at home, our pup listens to every command taught to him while on his lease. Walking him is now a breeze and he’s so well adjusted now that other dog walkers constantly point out how well behaved he is. His 1 hour lesson after the 10 day stay was simple, direct and covered everything we needed to know to continue his training. His facility was beautiful and a great location to make our pup feel at home. HIGHLY recommend Chris to anyone even considering this kind of training.

We took our 7 month old Rottie here for a 10 board and training program and we were not disappointed. Chris is professional, respectful, and most importantly knowledgeable on not only training your dog but transferring that knowledge to the owner to continue their progress at home. Do not expect to pick up your dog and all of your issues disappear where you as the owner do not need to work on it anymore. As the owner of your dog, YOU must continue to reinforce the training at home. A few days after pick up and we are continuing the commands and training at home and we are pleased with the results. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for long term structure and discipline for their pup.

Meet our baby Frankie, she is 7 months old German Shepherd mix, and was a handful and a 1/2, until we met Chris. The whole time he had her, I was missing her something awful, even to the point where I was even okay with the no sleeping, the stress of her not learning how to walk properly, and scared of everybody, including her own shadow most of the time, but I'm glad that we gave her this chance with Chris. She is a joy, and a love, and she deserves so much especially a chance to show how good she can be walking on a leash, and behaving while she's with other people and other animals. Chris and his team are true professionals in the dog training world. He trained my childhood Rottweiler many years ago and now recently my wife and I sent our Rottweiler puppy, Arrow, to him and he did amazing work with her as well. He’s friendly, personable, a great communicator and most importantly a fantastic dog trainer! A true generational dog trainer.
