Street Tails Animal Rescue

Got my best friend from here and she hasn’t left my side since. When we got her she was not spayed and had 4 mammory masses. After the procedures, street tails helped us every step of the way during the recovery process and gave us the support we needed to make her the healthy happy dog she is today.

I have had the privilege of volunteering with Street Tails for years. The team goes above and beyond for every single dog in their care, no matter their background or needs. They take in dogs that may otherwise be overlooked, give them the medical care & behavioral training they may need, as well as the love they deserve. They work tirelessly to match dogs with appropriate adopters to make sure they find the best forever home. A small but mighty rescue in the Northern Liberties/Fishtown area, they do amazing events to raise awareness and promote adoptions in Philadelphia!

Volunteering here is a wonderful experience. Everyone is lovely and the dogs are amazing. There are always less than 10 dogs in the building - they focus on a small number so they can give them the best experience. Sending in an application to adopt is super easy and you’ll have a high chance of being contacted about a dog you’re perfect for! Adopting from or volunteering here is a great choice! Something to keep in mind is they are not doing walk ins at the moment.
