Stratford Hills Veterinary Center

I have taken four of my cats here since November of last year, and each time the staff has been so kind, attentive, and willing to take the time to make sure all of my questions have been answered to my satisfaction. I have been to some vets that of course say they care for cats and dogs alike, and they do, but it’ll be clear to me they don’t care all that much about the cats. Stratford Hills Veterinary Center is no such place — they DEFINITELY care about their cat patients! (And I imagine they care for their dog patients equally, but without a dog of my own, I just can’t speak on that). I had a traumatic experience at a vet in 2023 — not the vet’s fault, but……I wasn’t sure and I did get an autopsy done and sure enough, not the vet’s fault, but it was horrible on top of the trauma of loos

Stratford Hills took such compassionate care of my old little dog Luis during his time living in Richmond. After years managing his bladder cancer, when the sad day came to say goodbye, the end of life experience was very peaceful and heartfelt. Forever grateful, Stefan and Luis 🐾

We've been using Stratford Hills for probably 10 or more years now and can't imagine going anywhere else. The staff is always kind, attentive, gentle and caring. We have three dogs from 100lbs to 11lbs and they treat them like their own. Also, unlike other places, they never try to upsell you something you don't need. You can't go wrong choosing Stratford Hills.

I’ve been taking my cat here ever since I moved to Richmond 8 years ago. I’ve since moved well across town but still bring her here. I don’t always see the same vet but I always get what I consider to be high quality care. I feel like their prices are fair for what you get and I recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

Everyone at the SHVC is so kind & welcoming. My dog is nervous around strangers & they're always so patient with her. We've never felt rushed during her annual exams (or sick visits), like at a lot of doctors. We love SHVC!
