Stowe Farm Dog Facility

Thank you Stowe Farm Staff! Our dog, Appa, was happy, well cared for and bathed as requested (smelled great!) before he came home. We have never left our dog for more than 5 nights. We had to go abroad, were nervous. Honest, caring staff took good care of our dog for 10 days. I really appreciated Stowe Farm returned his unused, expensive cans and kibble food and unused treats. We've experienced a dog boarding place in CT--that never returned unused food. We would use Stowe Farms again. Nice people who like animals! Thank you!

My dog has boarded at Stowe Farm many times. My dog is always happy to go there and still happy when I pick her up. I have boarded my dog at other places and it seemed very stressful for the dog so I was relieved to see how much my dog loves to go to Stowe Farm. Their fees are very reasonable and you can pay an extra fee to have their dog trainer work on training your dog. I always sign my dog up for a bath before I pick her up and she looks and smells great when I get her. The employees are very nice to the dog and the farm is in a very scenic location. In the past for about $15 for the stay, one of the employees texted me photos of my dog on my cell phone every day.

The dogs cages/enclosures are in a horse barn. I didnt end up boarding my puppy here instead he just stayed in there for 30 minutes before I withdrew him. I had to throw away his (expensive) bed because it smelled of horse manure. Maybe other people like it, but it wasnt to my taste in what i am comfortable with for my dog. as i said i did not board my dog with them and left in spite of booking it online. Mentioning this here because there was no way for me to figure this out before deciding to book them or else i wouldnt have. I am also not familiar with how boarding facilities usually are. Maybe this is standard, idk; I am a new pup parent.

We have boarded our dog here 2 times so far, with a 3rd and 4th visit planned in the near future. Our pup Rosie loves her time here. She's always nice and tired when she gets back and happy as a clam! We tried other large dog boarding facilities with daycare too and they were too stressful for her. She loves going to Stowe Farm! Only downside is it understandably smells like animals in the barn and the front entry area is loud because it's so close to the dog boarding area. Not a huge issue but it does make for a sub optimal check in/out experience.

We had a last minute cancellation of a friend to watch our dog. We contacted Maura and her staff could not have been better. Our dog has separation anxiety and can be a handful. The entire staff was so great! Would absolutely recommend them and will be using them from here on out. Just a perfect stay for our dog! Thanks Maura and all the staff. Well done!
