This location has friendly staff. 9 out 10 items I need in stock on any given day. I love that they put out a list of the chick's they are getting on the doors and by the registers. I already bought my quota for the year but the list is informative.

I love Steinhauser's in Richmond. I bought my baby chickens, feed, and pet supplies from there. The staff is very helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Good job!

I bought an 18-kilo bag of Victor food on Saturday, August 23rd for $58.96. I have the receipt, and the food was rotten and had a rancid, foul odor. The day I bought it, my dog ​​ate it and almost died from diarrhea and vomiting. I wasn't sure why, but when I saw that he didn't want to eat it anymore, he just smelled it and wouldn't eat it. I started checking, and sure enough, it was a foul odor, and these people don't want to acknowledge it. Been shopping here for a while and would like to continue but in more than two occasions they were out of hay. Yes no hay. Also, bought a bag of Stud Muffins horse treats and they were hard as a rock. I even had a hard time cutting it with a knife. I called the number on the bag and the lady said to put them in the microwave oven and they will soften or soak them in a little bit of water. I told her they used to be soft when I used to buy them in the past. She says they might have been exposed to air. My old horse will not be able to chew this up, sorry but I'm not buying this no more.
