Starfish Animal Rescue

I adopted my dog from Starfish in 2018 and the process was smooth and wonderful. We filled out paperwork for the dog we were interested in, quickly heard back and were put in touch with his foster family. We visited the foster family and met our dog, then continued with the paperwork to adopt. He was loved and well cared for by the rescue and his foster family! We had no issues with Starfish and are so grateful for our dog (Bentley/Bandit) now known as Denali. Starfish was very professional and organized with sending all of his paperwork and helping pay to get him neutered when he was old enough for the surgery. We would recommend this animal rescue to anyone!

Adopted our scruffy little guy, Axel, in early April. Starfish was very responsive to all of my inquiries about different dogs. The foster moms were very helpful and knowledgable with regard to whether a dog would be a good match for us or not. Axel’s foster mom was very helpful and careful about checking our home, our other dog and cats, ensuring that Axel would be in an appropriate environment. Starfish is a very professional organization all around. We are blessed to have our little comical, sweet Axel. I had never heard of Starfish before and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Starfish was nothing short of wonderful. Within a week of applying, we had an interview and could meet the dogs. Our puppy had a happy foster home experience with Silke, Wayne, and her litter mates and she was so excited to meet us! We could not be happier with Starfish for taking care of our best friend before she met us and became a part of our family.

My boyfriend and I recently adopted a senior dog named Taco from Starfish! They were helpful and kind to us - even going through with a surgery needed to remove one of Taco's eyes prior to us receiving him. We are so grateful for the treatment he received as well as the kindness of the foster mom we worked with, Kelsey! I would recommend them to anyone - I feel they went above and beyond to make sure our household was a good match for Taco and that he was in the best care while they had him. Taco himself is doing so well - he can be a little spicy lol - but he is also a total love bug and wants to be cuddled all the time! His temperament around cats, other dogs, children, and other people is very good - this was also exactly as the foster mom described to us so the adoption was a perfect f
