Springmill Pet Wellness Clinic

I love Springmill Pet Wellness. The Pet Prime membership has been great for our family and our pets. The membership allows you to pay monthly, so when your pet is sick, you don't worry about visiting the vet. The staff at Spring Mill Pet Wellness is fabulous. They are great on the phone and in the office. The team follows up after visits and makes sure your pet does not fall behind on their vaccine schedule. We prefer the Springmill location to other Indy area locations because of Dr. Dagan. Dr. Dagan has an excellent bedside manner, always answers questions directly, and his calm demeanor puts our pets at ease. This is the way veterinary medicine should be practiced.

I am heartbroken and angry writing this. We brought our guinea pig, Biscuit, in for a small skin lesion and were told it was likely ringworm. According to the medical record, the Wood’s lamp exam was negative and no PCR or fungal culture was performed. The diagnosis was listed as “potential dermatophytosis.” Despite this, she was prescribed systemic itraconazole. We were not clearly warned about the risks or serious side effects of this medication. We were not given worst-case scenarios. We were not offered alternative options like topical treatment or additional testing first. How is it acceptable to prescribe a systemic medication with known risks without confirmed diagnostics and without fully informing the owners? We trusted their judgment. We believed we were protecting our pet.

The vet and staff were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They were so sweet to my dog and kept me informed every step of the way and were able to treat my dog. I am so pleased and will be using this vet clinic from now on for all of my animals!

The staff was very friendly and made Oscar feel very welcome. They did great on comforting him through all the shots and the exam. I’m very happy with everything. The clinic is extremely clean and well maintained. They took the time to talk through my questions on toys and grooming as well. I’d recommend them to anyone.

My family and I had started to notice a dead animal smell in our home. At first, we thought it was a mouse that died in our vents, and after a few days, we realized it was our cat! I called my vet, and I was told to drop my cat off, and the vet would try to squeeze him in inbetween appointments. Several hours later, I received a call from the vet, and she told me that my cat was in so much pain, was hissing and trying to bite when being examined, and she was certain the smell was coming out of his mouth. She said that meant he had some sort of necrotic ulcerations in his digestive system or mouth.
