I got my $100 dog here and she has been the best dog I’ve ever had. The staff was so kind to all of their animals and so happy for every single one to have a new home. You could tell the animals loved them too! They set me up with everything I needed including a small bag of food, so I could leave with her vet records and the best friend I could ask for. I have such good things to say about this location. You can tell when people are in it for the right reasons. I’m so grateful for them. Betty the dog is now just about 2 years old and we got her at about 6 months old from Southern Pines. Still the best pup and has been all over the USA with us! You will find great friends here.

3.5 years ago I adopted my first dog from SPAS. It was a wonderful experience, and the people at the time helped me greatly. My sweet boy sadly passed away recently, but I would assuredly adopt from SPAS again.

All of my pack/family (except a couple of strays) came from SPAC - and always will! Incredible team there and all those folks will have many stars in their crowns! ❤️😸🐶😘

We found a puppy we wanted to adopt and tried to call multiple times with no answer. We drove over Wednesday and the shelter was closed and went back before they opened on Thursday. When we arrived we were told the pup was adopted by someone at the shelter. My question is why they did not remove the information from the website if they knew and it was only removed after we left. While we were there we had to deal with hard to describe people that had trouble with the English language. One boy with strange haircut mumbled so bad I had to ask others what he was saying. Very bad experience for us and I always tried to donate at every opportunity..I will find a better use for my money.
