Southern Ocean Animal Hospital

I have gone to Southern Ocean Animal Hospital for almost 30 years. When Dr. Poinsett left I almost went somewhere else but I stayed because I loved the staff, Kim and Gail. Thank God I stayed. My little terrier mix ate something unidentifiable and Dr. Dan called me at 9:30 that night to tell me his surgery went well. Megan, his wife, slept next to him on the couch because they took him home to monitor him. I can't praise the whole staff enough. Highly professional, so compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. In addition, SOAH dosen't skimp. They use top quality medicines, which is so important, and because of the whole package Rufus is on his way to recovery. Thank you again, Dr. Dan, Megan, Gail, Kim and Andrew too for taking care of my little buddy !

We absolutely love and highly recommend Southern Ocean Animal Hospital! They have made us (and our dog) feel like family! My dog absolutely loves going to the vet, and she is always so well taken care of! They are always accommodating for quick needed appointments and have very reasonable prices! We LOVE it there! Bean loves the people, the treats, and of course the spray cheese! 🐾

This was our third vet for our boxer as the first two did not work out (he can be very skittish and nervous with men and anything too out of the ordinary). The first vet he went to took forever to get an appointment for sick visits and would not let us in the room with him. The second vet was very nervous around our dog. A friend recommended Southern Ocean Animal Hospital and we are so glad they did! Dr. Dan and all of his staff go above and beyond for their patients. Everyone has been very kind. We figured we would have to wait awhile to get an appointment at first but they accommodated us very quickly. Along with Dr. Dan his wife Megan has been a huge help for us. We often see her when we head in for our dogs weekly shot and whenever I have questions she always takes time to sit with me

I was visiting family out of state and brought my dog along as I never leave him behind at a kennel when I travel. My dog has always been very healthy for the 14 years that I have had him. On this trip, he became extremely ill and we were very far away from our regular vet. Since I was close to Southern Ocean Animal Hospital, I decided to give them a call. They took me in right away and got my dog healthy and comfortable. Thank you so much Dr. Dan and the amazing staff that helped my baby and put my mind at ease. I am beyond grateful and you were a godsend when I was so far from home. Mr. Pickles is back to his healthy, happy self.💙

Over the summer, my one dog had an emergency on 4th of July weekend. They were able to squeeze him in the same day I called. HUGE lifesavers!!!! I immediately knew we found our new vet. We live about an hour and a half away, but stay at my boyfriends shore house a lot in LEH. Even if we did not have the shore house to stay at, I would 110% drive the almost 2 hours to this vet. Amazing kind people who work there. Extremely helpful and very caring. I am so happy and grateful to have found such a great place to bring my dogs. They genuinely care, and that is very hard to find nowadays. i have nothing but positive things to say about the vet and staff! Thank you guys for everything!
