Smalley's Animal Hospital

My toy poodle got attacked by much larger dog and needed quick medical attention. I called her normal vet and the lady who answered the phone said we may can get her in tomorrow. My dog was bleeding pretty badly and needed help now. I called Smalley’s and they did not hesitate to get her in and take her out. She was not even their patient. They have gained a new client with several patients for them, they helped out when I needed them the most. I cannot recommend enough. It’s such a blessing for our community to have people who care.

Our first experience at this Smalley's Animal Hospital today was great. Dr. Peggy Hobby took time to explain in detail the problem with our cat, and she gave us recommendations on how to care for her condition. A very pleasant experience for us. We will be back for her annual shots soon.

I highly recommend this clinic especially Dr.Jim I have had many times that I have brought animals and they had extremely low odds of survival and he would sit there for hours doing everything he could to help them. One time I had a dachshund named Sammy who got attacked by a pitbull that was known in my area for being hostile and it tore a major artery in Sammy’s throat. Jim put him in emergency surgery and saved his life. With how bad it was tore he had a 3% chance of survival. He kept him at the clinic for a week to monitor him, but the next day when Jim clocked in and checked on him he was almost blue. The temp artery in his throat had snapped. Drs are great but the front staff is very unprofessional!!! I owed some money on my account and was sitting in the lobby with another patient when the girl at the desk blurted out that I had to pay on my bill before my dog could be seen . I understand that but that was against HIPPA. She should have called me up to the desk to discuss this. You do not blurt out something personal in public. They need to have staff meetings to discuss things like this. I was very embarrassed and I know the other lady sitting with me was also. I will never take my dog back there.

They are my saviors. My Feisty Barista is a typical chocolate lab. They take good care of her. Friendly staff and great candles for sale. I can't ever leave without one. Her latest adventure. Hooked behind her teeth.
