This place is truly fantastic. My dog was shot by a neighbor, and we brought our dog here at 10:30 at night on a Saturday. I’m a fireman, so my wife was home alone with the kids and she had to navigate waking them up and driving them to the vet with the bleeding shot dog. She and my dog were treated with kindness and compassion, and they extracted the bullet and saved my pup. I was certain it was going to be an outrageous bill. It was shockingly low and they did an amazing job on the dog. I’m so grateful to the staff here. Thank you for being there for my wife while I was on shift, and for helping my dog.

We brought our dog, Shelby, in for a bite wound. Upon arrival, we were told the wait would be approx. 2 hours. After 3.5 hours with no updates, we asked staff for an update and whether it would be better to return at a different time. We received vague responses to both questions. We requested a quick triage assessment from a tech to determine if our dog needs to be seen tonight or if we could come back tomorrow. The staff member seemed reluctant but said she would ask if anyone was available. After 30 minutes, no one came to assess our dog, despite multiple employees visible in the back area sitting down and chatting. We understand emergency care is unpredictable and waits happen. Do not take your pets here!!! I have been here many times. The service has declined over the years. I took my dog there and after treatment she passed within 12 hrs after they prescribed her meds for something that wasnt the issue. Go to fayetteville. This is the second dog they have misdiagnosed in 12 months that has died. I love my dogs and work a busy schedule. Do not take your animals here!!!

Dr. Whitehead and the vet tech who treated my cat (I did not get her name) were incredible. Unfortunately I had to make the decision to put my soul kitty down and it was an incredibly painful, draining experience but the staff did everything they could to make it easier. I had to have Dr. Whitehead repeat herself multiple times to understand what was going on because of my emotional state and she was super patient and kind. In regards to the reviews about the receptionists - they have a tough job. I work in a job that allows me to stand up for myself and I appreciate that the owners of this establishment have their staff's backs. The staff here saved our dog's life. Our dog Ricky was very sick after he ingested several clothing items and had a small bowel obstruction. The entire staff was very caring, and they professionally provided us with several options at each juncture. We were kept informed throughout his treatment. We gave informed consent for a surgery and the vet did a fantastic job retrieving the fabric from a difficult place in the small bowel. Our dog healed wonderfully. Furthermore, pricing was extremely reasonable when we compared with other emergency veterinary services in the area. Places in Raleigh would've charged 2-3x as much. This is the go to place for true veterinary emergencies.
