I'm very surprised with some negative reviews! We adopted our adorable little Poulette (Initially Lucia) 2 years ago and were impressed by their hard work and level of commitment. The owner, employees, and volunteers were also very welcoming and helpful. The adoption process is quite simple! After our online application approval, we were invited to meet with the team and Lucia. All the questions they asked were to make sure she'll be the best addition to our family. I don’t understand these negative reviews. I filled out an application online, received a call, scheduled an appointment to come meet some dogs, went in and left with a dog that day. I wasn’t asked about guns or politics nor did I encounter any rude employees. In fact the woman who was working went out of her way to contact the dog I adopted foster so I could ask her some questions. They gave me a care package, harness, leash and toy, even lent me a crate for the drive home. I went back the following week to return the crate and saw one of the dogs I originally inquired about but was adopted, had been returned for a ridiculous reason. I said I would love to adopt him too and without hesitation, they agreed and I left with him and another care package. I met many employees as well as the ow

RUDE RUDE RUDE the 2 women working there this Sunday have zero social skills. My wife and I are looking to adopt a dog. Literally the moment we opened the door they had a reaction as if we were not allowed to enter. We simply said we are looking to adopt a dog. The lady who seemed to be in charged reacted saying we couldn’t enter with a very arrogant reaction. Listen. I don’t make reviews EVER but she motivated me to do this. DONT go there this is unacceptable behavior for an establishment that is supposed to be compassionate to animals and potential adoptive families. Customer service is paramount. If you’re a senior citizen don’t bother. Lots of red tape makes it look like they really are checking into potential adopters. Well if you’re a senior citizen don’t bother with this one or others you won’t be considered. Go to shelters and humane societies. Lots of young and older dogs want homes and love!

We found our newest family member here and are so grateful for them. She was loved and well taken care of while being fostered by Shelter Hope. I would recommend anyone to adopt their pet here.
