Sheboygan Dog Training Club

The SDTC is an amazing place where you can grow a strong bond with your dog, learn lots about training and caring for your dog, and much more! I've met so many amazing people who have been so kind and helpful. I became a member in the beginning of 2020 and it was so worth it. I've volunteered at scent work, FAST CAT, barn hunt, agility, FETCH, obedience and rally trials and puppy classes. I've also taken Agility, CGC, Obedience, Rally and puppy classes here. They have different events like First Aid classes and dog chiropractic. You can learn so much just by watching! The classes and instructors have taught me so many things that will stick with me forever. My dogs and I have learned so much and our bonds have grown much stronger.

Really enjoy the FAST Cat trials and other shows that are put on here. Most people are very friendly and buildings are very nice. Love the variety of activities, trials, and seminars they offer.

Trainers can be judgmental to pet owners who are just hoping to teach their dog obedience. Had instructors teaching different things (we’ve had two different class sessions). Today was our last day and I could not even sit through ten minutes. I was clearly struggling and took my dog outside twice (she was barking during class) to try to calm my dog and myself down. When I went in again, Stella (almost 5 mo old chocolate American lab puppy) continued to to bark. The trainer looked at my dogs harness and rudely stated in class, in front of all others, what she thinks of harnesses. Clearly against them. Judging me for having it on my dog because it was “not working” as she was “still pulling”. I had her using the nose pinching leashes before, per different instructors recommendation and this

I was at Sheboygan training club for a FastCat. The buildings were clean, the property was very well kept. The people that were working the event were very friendly. You can tell they take pride in their club. Would join if I didn't live 1 1/2 hour away from it.
