My husband and I love going out to volunteer at Serenity Farm! Jo takes great care of the animals and it’s such a nice get away from the busy city. The tours are great if you have little ones - they get to see the animals and there are activities set up for them to experience. 10/10 recommend

Serenity is the perfect way to describe Serenity Farm. The animals are happy, friendly, and well cared for. The environment is quite and peaceful. I think they have the world's friendliest sheep (Harrison-- he LOVES pets). Highly recommend the tour so you can experience it for yourself.

I found Serenity Farm Animal Sanctuary while searching for soul-fulfilling places to visit with my girlfriend for her birthday. From the beginning, Jo was really gracious and communicative about the visit. The tour of the sanctuary was laid-back, leisurely, peaceful, and calming. We had a lovely time interacting with the animals who live there and learning about their stories of rescue and survival. Jo is an incredibly kind and intelligent human being; learning about her journey with opening and operating the sanctuary really warmed our hearts. It was abundantly clear how much Jo cares for the animals, and we learned a lot from listening to how resourceful she has been in learning to operate her facility and keep her animals safe and healthy. Serenity is an apt name, as one feels at peace in this place of love and compassion. That they chose passion flowers to represent their VIPs is further confirmation of the dedication and empathy shown throughout. Jo gave us our extremely affordable tour for flora and fauna alike, regaling us with stories of the residents (including wildlife) as my husband and I loved on and adored the rescued darlings. Before we move away, I will visit again, and am honored to meet the faces I support. It's fulfilling and wonderful, and I could honestly keep gushing a novella's worth. lol Though we don't have tiny humans to bring, those who do should rest assured this place provides a place to learn and play in the garden - and there is story time on certain days, so check for that!
