Second Chance Pet Rescue

I've both fostered and adopted through second chance & every time has been a breeze, every person working there is so kind. My cats are my world and im so happy that i came in at the right time to find them!! They really care for these precious fur babies and put so much love and time into them. Very grateful to have them in our little town!

Never been in a shelter so clean!! I am in different rescues all the time but in this one they truly work their butt's off!! I do lots of transports & help them anytime they ask even though they are quite a ways from me.(over 50 miles) They truly care.

The shelter staff gets there at 6:30am-7am EVERYDAY to clean, feed and water the animals that only have the shelter as a home. Some come from very difficult and devastating backgrounds, and to truly understand what the staff and volunteers do everyday for these animals you need to see how the shelter runs and how things are done first hand. Yes dogs poo and pee it’s natural. They do so much to make these animals as COMFORTABLE as possible until they go to their forever homes! They get treats they go on walks, they all have toys and blankets and beds and as a nonprofit funding is solely donated. Food, treats, toys, even cleaning supplies. They get medical care if there is something wrong they all have all their shots and some are NOT good with other dogs so walking a lot at once is difficul

There’s always one malcontent. Second Chance does a phenomenal job taking care of the animals and finding good homes for them. I’ve dealt with them on several occasions and they go out of their way to make sure they have the animal’s best interests in mind. They work hard taking care of every animal in the shelter and keep them safe. I drove 3 hours out of my way because of their exceptional service and the fact that they were the only shelter that actually cared about the dumped and abused dog I found. They got him well and adopted within a few days. (Pappy Jack). They would always be my first choice for any animal adoption.

All three of our dogs are from the shelter and might I say that when we walked in to look for our newest puppy after ours passed it was very clean and tidy! All the dogs were very excited and happy to see us! We found our little boy that we saw on Facebook and he was a very happy boy even before we brought him home! The shelter does an amazing job with making sure puppies are clean and sanitized and ensuring they are happy! With their shots, being fixed, microchipped and they even deworm!
