I adopted a wonderful little pup named Stella at the Oceanside(airport road location)humane society on January 24th and I wanted to share how outstanding the experience was in every way. The woman that helped -Donna DePasquale could not have been better in any way. She was very kind and did a fantastic job of going over Stella’s history and some medical issues she has had. When it was time to meet Stella, the three of us took a walk and she let me know that Stella was skittish now, and would need some patience if I took her home. Donna also took the time to explain that I could adopt or choose to foster Stella or decide that she wasn’t a good fit, and I never felt pushed to adopt her. It was very clear they just wanted the best for Stella. I did adopt her and she was skittish when w

I was hoping to donate meds, supplies since my dear dog has passed. The receptionist didn't want any of the (unopened) meds, didn't want used collar, and she wasn't particularly friendly. She did offer condolences, though

We were ready for a new cat after the passing of our 17 year old cat Yam. The staff was very caring and helpful, the facility was open, airy, clean and welcoming. Eliza, our new family member, was given to us microchipped, medically sound and perfectly suited to our home. We love her! She even fetches, sits and gives you the cat version of the 🫶 sign!

I got my girl Shrimp Fried Rice (formerly known as Ella) a week ago today, and she is the loveliest cat I’ve ever met. She is so sweet and purrs like a boat motor if you even look in her direction! The staff were so sweet, and made sure to correct a mistake that I caught on her health records. She even came with a bag of dry food. While I was waiting for someone to assist me, a few staff were walking around tending to the pets-I could tell that the people working there truly had the best interest in mind and pure love for these animals.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at the San Diego Humane Society, Oceanside. We’ve been looking for a kitten and first went to the one in San Diego because we live in SD but the experience there was way more challenging. At the SD campus we felt like we were bothering the staff by being there, the line took hours and the process seemed difficult. They seemed like they had a lot more money compared to Oceanside to fund the facilities. It was nice there but sad to see the Oceanside situation compared to SD because the experience in Oceanside was so much better. The Oceanside campus was sooo kind, especially Donna, and made us feel so welcomed. The process was easy and the experience was wonderful. This campus knows how to run a shelter! They do such a great job. This place was 1
