Salem Veterinary Hospital

We first started going to Salem in late 2020 after our dog, Gypsy, was diagnosed with HGE. Shortly after our first appointment they found mass cell tumors. Because of her heart being damaged my heart worms (rescue) and her age we were nervous about the surgery but the vet was incredibly reassuring and the surgery/recovery went amazing. Shortly after that we started seeing Dr. Giles and she is amazing. She took amazing care of Gypsy despite her being incredibly nervous at the vet. In August of 2024 we adopted our little Bobbles who was an entire hot little mess. He has ongoing skin allergies, chronic ear infections, and has had to have multiple last minute appointments. They are also so accommodating and have done whatever they could to make sure we were seen in an appropriate time span. In

This place and the staff are just amazing. I have been taking my furbabies to another vet in the area and this other vet refused to allow my GSD to come in without being sedated due to her aggression toward small dogs. So when my baby needed urgent care, I was worried about what to do and where to take her. I called Salem Vet, they were able to get me in same day, they made accommodations for my dogs "special needs" and with an almost all female staff, my girl felt very comfortable. The Dr and techs did a wonderful job and took the time to listen. Did the proper testing and listened when I had questions about the potential side effects of the medication. We recently had to put our dog down due to cancer. Recently this year we tried a surgery to remove some of her tumors but they returned in only a few months. This clinic is incredibly kind. They try their hardest to save pets, and when they can't, they comfort us owners and make the process personal and with dignity. I will be returning to this veterinary clinic in the future if we decide to get a dog again. I'm so grateful to all the staff. You are very appreciated for all your hard work.

Most friendliest vet ever. We love our vet. The staff love our Cooper. Always leave with treats for Cooper. They are wonderful here and we simply wouldn’t go anywhere else
