Pet Supplies Plus East Virginia Beach

This Pet Supplies Plus location is located in the Strawbridge Shopping Center where it used to be a Rite Aid Pharmacy. The business is pretty easy to spot in the shopping center. I have been here several times now, and my most recent visit was on September 10, 2025. Since the business is in a shopping center, parking isn't too hard to find. There are a few spaces reserved just for customers, most likely since it can get busy with a movie theater and other businesses around. The outside of the place is easy to see with the big green lettering. The first time I came in was due to getting a coupon in the mail. I figured with the coupon it would be worth checking out. I usually have a great experience but today my dog sustained a HARD CUT TO THE QUICK. IF I had known, I could have covered my seats and purse.... which are now ruined. On the way home I just happened to notice blood everywhere... on my purse, the seat cover and all over the front seat. I completely understand that accidents can happen, but to not tell the customer that their dog has been quicked does not allow them to prepare for what happened today. Furthermore, this groomer would not admit that they had actually quicked my dog.. and bragged about grooming for "over eight years." UPDATE.. This store did replace my purse. But as far as I know, they still have the same groomer, who hard quicked my dog and would not admit that it was their fault.. This groomer talks on the phone while they'

I one million percent hate leaving this review. I have had several grooming sessions at this store and have always been pleased. Today I picked up my dog from someone who had never groomed him before and after getting home noticed a bad smell. I found the source; his booty. It was crusty and smelled of feces but when I cleaned him up there was nothing on the wipe. In addition his cut was pretty choppy. I know my dog is wriggly and doesn't like certain things but I was pretty surprised that the attention to detail lacked. The groomer was pleasant and again, I absolutely HATE leaving this review (I'll be happy to update it with resolution!) but I feel like it should be acknowledged.

Disappointed with the grooming. Mike did what was asked with the cut for the most part. But I don’t believe he brushed my dog one bit. Currently brushing a ton of hair at home right after and it’s coming out easily. Very frustrating when it cost $86 and I even left a $20 tip. Photo attached is about 5-10 mins of brushing… still plenty more coming out and I haven’t even started with a deshedding brush. Just your typical hair brush…
