Ran into a situation where a neighbor had been very neglectful to say the least long story short, I didn't know where to take a dog and neighbor surrendered to me. That was literally dying. I drove over there. It was the Day After Christmas and a woman that was busy cleaning. What's still courteous to me even though I observed a sign that said by appointment only and considering that it was the day after christmas.She was probably extremely busy and had her mind on other things as well as her job. Long story short, she was gracious and gave me the insight.I needed to be able to go and try to save this dog. I am truly grateful to her for being professional.And most importantly, a caring soul, when she saw there was a real need. I wish I would have gotten her name because I'd like to.Persona

I volunteer with SAFE in Hollister FL & I walk SAFE adoption center dogs in Ravine Gardens State Park. The people who work & volunteer love the dogs & cats & put their hearts into making it as nice as they can until the animals are lucky enough to be chosen by loving people with safe homes whether fostered or adopted. They fill our paperwork & must be approved. The cats are in a separate section with access to an outside enclosure so they aren't traumatized by the loud dog barking. The dogs may be moved to headquarters in St Augustine for better exposure or to Hollister if they need special training programs or medical care. Sadly the shelters stay pretty full despite the good adoption numbers so there is often not room to take one more animal. The county often has the same issue of no

Great people working and volunteering there. They lots of your donations. Blankets, sheets, towels etc. Money doesn’t hurt either for meds and such.

Caring wonderful workers who were very thankful for donations. Most people Bring dog supplies but we bought them cleaning supplies and it worked out quite wonderfully how well they needed them. Just make a quick stop at the dollar store and pick up some bleach and other cleaning supplies and if you spend 20 bucks and drop them all you will totally be helping out these people take care of the animals.

Watch out for scams using their name and number. They’re holding our lost cat over our heads saying it got hit by a car and in surgery but won’t supply pictures or proof that they have pepper. The one photo we received wasn’t the cat. They’re saying they will kill the cat if they don’t receive 3,000 over paypal or venmo. Sorry for this place that’s being used to scam people. Wouldn’t let us come pick up the cat and move to our vet for the surgery
