Animal Medical Clinic

Now that the vet offices in palatka have been limited, few remain between here and east palatka. However, no trashcan outside an establishment (where feces is around) is a first concern. When you then go in a have issues being; on time yet waiting as the only ones there a noticed amount of time, let in again waiting some time, pets taken for checks to be taken on and returned, great time to check out. Nope, come back from parking lot. Only to learn things were NOT completed, things such as checking weight while they had. If this is a sign of new/recent hires so be it, they learn. However, no trashcan outside for the feces to be picked up after is troubling to me.

We are from out of town and needed to use this Vet for health certificates twice. I won't lie the first time we visited I was a little put off by the wait and demeanor of some staff. However I truly believe they were likely just having a hectic day right before the holidays. Amanda is a godsend. She could see my frustration the first visit and made sure everything was taken care of. When we unexpectedly needed to use the vet again she again made the process easy and was so helpful and kind. Because of Amanda when we will choose this office if in the area again.

My baby (10.5 yr old American Bulldog) was very sick. Even though it was last minute ans i didn't have an appointment, they saw her immediately. They did bloodwork and the explained her illness patiently to me. Unfortunately she had to be euthanized as there was no long term outlook where she was cured or made comfortable. They were extremely kind and sat with me while I said goodbye to her.

I took my fiancé’s dog here for his 2:30 p.m. appointment and arrived ten minutes early. By 3:10, we still hadn’t been called back, so I asked to reschedule because I needed to pick up my children and had a job interview to attend. The front desk refused to reschedule and instead suggested I leave the dog while I ran to get my kids, assuring me he would be ready when I returned. When I came back at 3:45, he still wasn’t done. My fiancé called the clinic three times asking them to simply return the dog so I could leave, but they did not bring him out until 4:10. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and the excessive delay—over an hour and a half past the scheduled appointment time. I’m not sure what kind of veterinarian refuses to euthanize a completely smashed turtle that was hit by a car in front of their clinic, but not only were they incredibly unhelpful they were not friendly to my fiancé. I have been a veterinary technician for over 10 years and I have never met a veterinarian that refuses to euthanize a suffering animal. We would have even paid.
