Romie Lane Pet Hospital

Was great before Dr. Ponder left but this corporation seems to have driven away all the good staff that had been there for years. And now they are clearly desperate for business, I just got a call from their robot receptionist asking me to make an appointment for a dog that hasn’t been to their clinic in almost a decade, and it mispronounced his name. I will admit I have a unique dog name, but back when Dr. Ponder was still in charge the staff had a note on my account on how to pronounce his name, apparently the robot doesn’t have access to those. I can guarantee no human receptionist would have ever called me after being away so long, what if my dog was no longer alive? I think it’s obvious the corporation only cares about getting animals in the door.

Last minute appointment available....staff was pleasant and friendly all around. Very helpful in dealing w transfer of pet records from other facility -had to call again. Romie Lane is also booked 2 weeks in advanced for appointment s.

My experience with Romie Lane Pet Hospital has been outstanding. I've had to bring my dog in frequently due to some health concerns, and the staff has always treated both of us with the utmost care and kindness. A special thanks to Victoria, one of the receptionists, who has been exceptional. She always takes the time to answer my questions thoroughly and with great knowledge. I truly appreciate her help. Overall, Romie Lane is a wonderful pet hospital with a fantastic team. Highly recommended!

– Visit on 8/16/2024 This was one of the worst veterinary experiences I’ve ever had. My dog was having alarming neurological symptoms: dragging her hind legs, walking sideways, and falling over. Since her primary vet had no availability, I brought her to Romie Lane Pet Hospital, who said they could take her in as an emergency. Dr. Charley Abernathy examined her and observed the concerning symptoms. She told me the only way to determine the issue was through x-rays and blood work, so I agreed. After the tests, I was told everything came back normal, aside from "a lot of gas in her tummy," and she was diagnosed with gastritis — which made no sense given the severe neurological symptoms. The vet mentioned she would send the x-rays to a radiologist for further review, but I never received a fo
