I cannot thank Pali, Gabe, and all the staff members at Rocket Dog Rescue enough. They made the process of rehoming my dog easier with their kind words, reassurance, and empathy. Also they are great with communication and answering all my questions/concerns.

We have fostered multiple dogs and adopted from them. We could not recommend them enough. The staff is so considerate and passionate about finding these dogs homes. They were so accommodating and knowledgeable.

I frequently passed Rocket Dog when visiting a friend who lives in the area but didn’t know much about them. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when OAS had a small dog on the priority list due to fear of strangers, so I took my dog to meet him. He was extremely friendly to people, after a slow meet, and my dog got along with him. However I knew overtime their mismatch in energy levels wouldn’t work out. Time passed and he wasn’t adopted yet and his first deadline got extended, so I reached out to a few rescues to see if they were able to pull him if we could foster. Rocket Dog was the only one who returned my message and they agreed to pull him! I went to pick him up from Rocket Dog and we fostered him until he got adopted in about 2 weeks. I love my dog. He is sweet, affectionate, and genuinely the cutest. This isn’t my first time adopting from a shelter, but it is my first time adopting through Rocket Dog. While I’m very happy he’s with me now, I’m not sure I would return to Rocket Dog for future adoptions, based on a few things that, looking back, could have been handled differently. The advocate I worked with was kind. When I asked about the $400 adoption fee (which is higher than the $200–$300 range I’ve seen at most shelters), I was told it covered his neuter, microchip, and rabies vaccine- which is understandable. However, I work in veterinary medicine and have access to these services for free through my clinic, where I could also be present for my nervous dog.
