Roanoke Animal Hospital

My poor kitty cat needed dental work, due to a few issues. Probably born with a cleft palate, and really bad teeth. This wonderful Roanoke Animal Hospital took care of him, (examined a couple of weeks earlier) and surgically removed the worst teeth. My 3yo kitten came through wonderfully, and is healing so nicely. Picture is his post-op snooze!

I had a 1 year old mix that was very very territorial and had to be muzzled at another local vet. The vet and staff here were able to treat my fur baby without a muzzle or it appeared with any stress at all. Thank you so much...and yes....you absolutely get what you pay for!

I seriously question this being a fear free vet. I took my baby in for an ultrasound and they called me that they couldn’t finish because she was crying and moving around. So later that evening I see she’s all cut up from being shaved. No wonder she cried since they nicked and cut her all over. I spoke with the administrator. Her response? It’s because she’s old and has paper thin skin. So it’s acceptable and their standard of care. I personally groom her myself and have never cut her. This is a staff or razor issue that they aren’t remorseful about. She told me they have “special” clippers to get closer to the skin. So then why is there so much hair where she was cut? Honestly I was just looking for an apology until I was told it’s acceptable to them. Be careful where you take your pets.

Wonderful veterinary hospital! Everyone is very kind and friendly. I really appreciate the frequent updates when my furbabies are there for surgeries. They ask before doing anything besides what was already discussed or would be an additional cost, so you aren't giving a surprising higher price than expected. Also, they were extremely compassionate when my dog Mojo had to cross the rainbow 🌈 bridge. Thank you so much 💓
