Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic

We love Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic! We’ve been going to see Dr. McCoy for a little over 4 years with my golden retriever and a little under 4 with our corgi. When Dr. McCoy is booked up and our pets need to be seen urgently, they get us in as soon as possible and the other vets we see are also excellent and thorough with the care they give. When you walk in, the receptionists immediately make you feel welcome and you feel comfortable leaving your pets in their care. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. McCoy, he listens to you and takes your concerns about your pets serious and explains everything to you so you’re not leaving wondering about your pets health. He is so loving with our pups, they always get so excited when they see him. This clinic also has an app called “Pet Page”

I can’t speak highly enough about this clinic. Every staff member genuinely cares about both the animals and the people who walk through the door. We’ve been coming here since around 2008 and have seen several different vets, all of whom have been wonderful; Dr. Ballard, Dr. McCoy, Dr. Edwards, and Dr. Windon. Our most recent visit was with Dr. Windon for our puppy, and we had a lot of questions. She took her time with us and made sure every single one was answered. We always appreciate that the team never makes you feel rushed—you truly feel like they care, not like you’re just another appointment. The office is also extremely clean, and the pricing is very reasonable for the level of care they provide. You really can’t beat the service here.

We are so incredibly grateful for Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic! The doctors and staff go above and beyond to make you feel like your pets are truly part of their family. Our dogs are always happy to visit—something we never experienced at other vet clinics. I can’t say thank you enough to Dr. McCoy and his amazing team for their compassion, dedication, and open communication—sometimes even daily—when our dog Baloo was diagnosed with a rare disease. Because of their efforts and willingness to keep trying, we were blessed with a few more months filled with good days and cherished memories. We will forever be thankful!

We are so grateful and appreciative of all the love and care we have received over the past 14 years for our dog Oakley. The patience needed for our girl was always given by 2 very special doctors, Dr. Hairfield and Dr. Karras. Thank you Dr. Karras for your years of putting up with Oakley and being there when she needed you. And to Dr. Mike (Hairfield) we thank you for Oakley’s care during her puppy days and more importantly the exceptional care and devotion given to her during her final days. Both of you, and all the staff at Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic are phenomenal and have contributed so much to Oakley having the great life she deserved. Thanks again for everything❤️

Although the front desk service was good, the overall work done was not. The vets in charge of working on my cats injury did not bother to make simple actions that would have ensured a successful recovery nor inform me of certain things I had to lookout for. Instead I had to take my cat back in when a simple extra step would have sufficed after the initial visit, it was completely preventive and a common issue that was 100% avoidable. I have just discovered another injury that the vet did not catch in the same surrounding area. I have decided to move her to a completely different vet because I cannot say I have any trust with this clinic. Vet bills are never cheap and I cannot risk spending close to $1000 again for a third time at this clinic.
