Riverside Veterinary Hospital

On Sunday we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved dog, Margo Blue. She was 15 and apparently has a stroke on Saturday that left her unable to walk at all. We are only here for my husband’s work project temporarily so we were not familiar with any local vets. Since Margo was in pain we looked for emergency vets that were open on the weekend. We found Riverside and they told us to come early Sunday. Upon arrival they came to our car and gently carried Margo Blue inside. They told us exactly what to expect and every single person there was compassionate and just plain kind to us! The Dr was wonderful and was nearby awaiting our word, giving us the chance for one last goodbye. The office was quiet and peaceful and even though you can see they must be a very busy practice

We are beyond grateful and appreciative to Riverside Vet Hospital!!! Dr Chao and her assistant/tech, Jennifer were so very kind and empathetic to our concerns. They agreed to see our 16-year old Jack Russell, Katie, when our normal veterinary clinic did not have any available appointments until over a week away. Our girl experienced a health scare/issue the night before and along with her other pre-existing age related decline in health, she wasn’t “bouncing back” like we hoped initially. We were extremely concerned regarding her ‘quality of life’ type status. Everyone was patient through all of our tears that we were shedding (even when unable to get our words out). My husband and I couldn't have found a better place than Riverside Veterinary in Rocky Mount, NC. They're located on Sucess drive. If you're looking for great place and so many kind people to care of your puppy 🐶, then please chose them. You will not regret your chose. I give them a 10 out of 5 stars!! I trust everyone at the office. Pipa loves them as well. I recommend Riverside Veterinary to EVERYONE.

We have taken our dog there for years since moving to the area, and we could not have been more happy with their services. We relied on them for years for boarding, vet visits and consultation on end of life care, as our dog’s old age finally was catching up to her. Their bed side manner was amazing when it was her time to go, and the staff were simply the best in making her comfortable, and ensuring we too were taken care of. Could not recommend Dr. Joey Galligan enough, who was absolutely a Doc who cared as much for our Dog as we did, and would highly recommend both her and Riverside.

Our experience with them was perfect! They took care of our Charley pup like he was their own! We love that he instantly seemed at ease with them. We will definitely be returning for all our dogs needs!
