Absolutely perfect! Finally a Vet that works with you and listens to your questions! They are so compassionate and also knowledgeable in Alternative medicine. My dog threw up in the car on the way to the vet. No problem they met me at the door with my crate and took it and washed it out. Who does that in this day and age? 👏 Plus they explain their services and costs upfront. No surprises! They do not try to upsell— in fact, they try to make your visit as affordable as possible. I can’t say enough good things! Shhhh. Best kept secret in the Treasure Valley!

The care we get here for our animals is above and beyond amazing. I bring in both my personal pets and the wildlife I rehab and they are all treated with professionalism and care. 100% love this clinic and Dr. Metos is a miracle worker. Dr. Metos and her staff are knowledgeable, compassionate and accommodating and I wouldn’t trust anyone but them to take care of my kiddos. Not to mention they are the most reasonably priced exotic vet in the area! They will never give unnecessary treatment for the sake of profit and will always try to save you money wherever possible. The clinic is clean and cozy and when you walk in the friendly front desk staff will greet you with a smile and they always have a room ready to go right away. Dr. Metos and Chloe were absolutely fantastic with our nervous German Shepherd (Rory)! They took the time to welcome her. They gave her special treats and really showed love for her! Rory needed all of her vaccinations, so they calmly took her back and really made us and Rory feel comfortable! We have tried many Veterinary Hospitals and Rory wouldn't let them touch her. Dr. Metos / Rising Sun Animal Hospital is (by far) the best!!

Dr. Metos is very good at trouble shooting pet issues and was extremely helpful with figuring out why our Chihuahua puppy was having seizures. It turns out that rosemary is a known neurotoxin for dogs, but it is used as a natural preservative in a lot of pet food and treats. Both the Royal Canin food and Canada Fresh chicken jerky we were feeding our Chihuahua had rosemary extract in them. We switched to a homemade diet and the seizures stopped. I'm so thankful we found Dr. Metos. I'm not sure if other vets would have figured this out.
