Queens Lane Sanctuary

This horse sanctuary QLS is truly something special. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the care, respect, and love poured into every single horse. The animals are clearly well cared for—healthy, calm, and given the space and dignity they deserve. The people here are incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate, and it’s obvious this is more than a job for them—it’s a calling. Visiting was both peaceful and inspiring, and I left with a deep appreciation for the work they do. I can’t recommend this sanctuary enough to anyone who loves horses or cares about ethical animal rescue.

QLS is amazing. They rescue, rehabilitate and provide lifetime sanctuary to equines at risk of slaughter in a serene and supportive environment. Volunteers work within a positive, prescribed routine designed for both the animal's and human's safety. Sometimes a volunteer's struggle to put the animals first might result in a bad review. Just know, there are fabulous things happening here for those who love horses and donkeys! It's worth a visit and maybe even a commitment to volunteer.
