Powhatan Grooming Spa

Powhatan Grooming Spa provides excellent service and a full menu of products and services for all of your pup’s needs. We have been taking our dogs there for several years and Nina and her crew do a fabulous job!

We've enjoyed the privilege of taking our goldendoodle, Luna, to the Powhatan Grooming Spa for a number of years now and feel so lucky to have found them! They are always welcoming and professional upon our arrival, are meticulous in their care to ensure that they understand our specific requests and instructions for the appointment and most of all, they do an unbelievably great job every time! The community is so fortunate to have such a great business in their service. We wholeheartedly recommend them.

I went to the reviews on this place b/c there was a LOT of red flags. To begin, for TWO consecutive visits, she upped the price, seemed like she was mad that i asked them to do a better job clipping above the eye, b/d it has grown back into his eye about 2 weeks afterward. But warning, if you discuss with them about anything you want done differently, she will UP THE PRICE. Then, she said her tech, decided to use a different shampoo on him, without asking me at all, after I SPECIFICALLY told her to use the oatmeal due to his severe skin sensitivity when he has severe skin allergies. I have also told them not to go into his ears, he has extremely sensitive ears b/c of his skin sensitivities. He came back acting in extreme pain in his ears. I have absolutely loved my experience and so have my pups. Nina has worked wonderfully with my Great Dane and Labrador retriever Buck and Bear. Finding a good groomer has been difficult but they always come out looking handsome and are truly happy to come and go.

Nina and staff are fabulous!! We have been going to this grooming salon since she opened and I have never been disappointed. My little Allie just loves her and my ole gal Roxie gets super excited to go spend some time with them!!! Does an excellent job ALL THE TIME!! If I could leave a 10 star, I would.
