Intelligent K9 Dog Training

UPDATE: coming back here to give CJ and Intelligent K9 another HUGE shout out. As mentioned below, we have been working with CJ for years now. Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago we learned our youngest boxer Gracie is now in kidney failure. This new reality has hit our family hard. Intelligent K9 drove 45 minutes to our house with the most delicious homemade quiche to help us out. It was the kindest gesture. CJ is not your typical dog trainer. Highly Recommend! CJ has a unique ability to understand dogs and provide multiple solutions to get to the correct end state. We had a very timid dog with extremely bad habits (Counter surfing, jumping on people when entering the home, hyperactive walking, squirrel enthusiast, etc.). After 7 weeks of training once a week, all problems have been resolved and we can walk and play with confidence in public settings! Additionally, the weekly accountability was engrained into our families routine to help our dog to continue to stay on track. My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with CJ at Intelligent K9 Dog Training to address behavioral issues with our two rambunctious pit bulls, Blu (7 years old) and Bonnie (9 months old). Prior to seeking CJ's help, we had undergone training at another facility in Richmond, which unfortunately fell short of our expectations. The previous program confined training to the facility premises, lacking real-life situations that Blu struggled with. While Blu appeared well-behaved within the controlled environment, her behavior outside remained a challenge. As Blu, weighing 70 pounds, and Bonnie, a 60-pound bundle of puppy energy, pulled and tugged during walks, I found myself dreading our outings. Intelligent K9 training was an all around great experience. CJ Quick is a legit dog whisperer and a fantastic trainer. Our 2 Aussies were having fights and it had made our home life so stressful. Since starting training we haven’t had any fights and our dogs are back to being the best friends they had always been. They are much happier with the more structured lifestyle CJ helped us implement. Would recommend Intelligent k9 dog training to anyone having any kind of issues with their dogs. Thanks again CJ !!!

Hi, I’m Kelley and 2 years ago I adopted a 1-year-old deaf Dalmatian named Tsarina. She had been surrendered to a shelter because her high energy level was too much for her family. She came to me gorgeous but wild, having no boundaries, jumping, puppy biting, and racing around the house like a bull in a china shop. Determined to transform her into a wonderful companion I watched videos, did treat training, used a variety of “no pull” collars and harnesses, and purchased an e-collar to “call her" and direct her focus to my hand signals. We formed a close emotional bond, and I made progress, but after a year I became increasingly frustrated that my efforts were only taking me so far. Tsarina’s willpower and physical strength took over when in highly stimulating environments. On our walks sh
