I would give 6/5 stars if I could! I dropped my golden pup Oliver off for a 2 week board & train & he came back a completely changed dog. He had a lot of leash reactivity to work on and pulled a lot, but now even years later he is able to confidently walk & interact with other dogs without distractions. We even go on off leash walks now, something I’d never thought we would be able to do! Not only did Mahonestead train Oliver, but they also gave me a ton of helpful tips as his owner. I highly recommend & definitely would consider using their services again for future pets!

Mahonestead K9 was the best decision I made for my dog. I emailed them and within 10 minutes they replied back. 30 minutes later I was on the phone with Zach and we were discussing the best treatment for my dog, Chopper. I was inquiring about the two week train and board. My dog has anxiety when left alone and he did not have a good recall. We live on lots of land and we see lots of other animals. I wanted to be able to trust my dog to come when I tell him & to avoid a potentially bad situation. Mahonestead K9 took the time to come out to my home to see my dogs everyday living style to tailor his needs before his 2 week board & train. Everything went very smoothly over the two weeks that I brought my dog there, and he came back more calm, collected, and ready to listen to me! Now, he does

My RACC Pit puppy rescue fur grand baby Kaine was out of control. He chewed up everything, jumped on everyone and was very hard headed. He was 5mos old when we rescued him ,11mos when I took him to Zach for training. When he came back it was like Night and Day. Looking forward to our follow-up classes. I will definitely keep using Mahonesteadk9 services and I recommend them to anyone looking to train there dogs..

We highly recommend Mahonestead for your dog needs -training and boarding!! My Cane Corso went for boarding and training in September 2022. He was 10 months old! When we picked him up from training he was 11 months old! We’ve been getting nothing but compliments on how well behaved and trained he is! Our dog was trained for 3 weeks and we were very impressed with what he learned! If you’re looking for exceptional dog training…I would highly recommend Mahonestead K9! You will not be disappointed!

I cannot say enough great things about Zach and his ability to work miracles with dogs! We utilized the two week board and train for our Luna, and it was the best investment we ever made. We can now take her anywhere, and everyone always brags about how well behaved she is. We have added a new pup to our home, and he will also be going to get the best start possible with Zach.
