Fostering for Pound Hounds ResQ is a great experience. Since I am fostering Lola, Pound Hounds ResQ was there for us from the very first day, offering their support: they organized the transport and provided a crate for the dog. We received reading and video materials that I found very useful. The trainer/behaviorist is available for a consult at any time. Jodi has been a great support. After 2 months, the positive change in Lola's behavior is noticeable. The staff is friendly, helpfull, and patient. All my phone calls and texts are being answered right away. Thank you guys for all your hard work!

She might claim this as fraud or scam, but this is very much true! I’m sharing my experience with Pound Hounds ResQ to warn others before getting involved with this rescue. After fostering a dog named Cloud for several months, I was shocked at how this organization treated me. I provided for this dog completely on my own — financially, emotionally, and physically — for six months. Without me, Cloud likely would have been euthanized, and yet when I decided to make his adoption official, I was suddenly accused of “stealing” him and hit with an outrageous adoption fee as if I were a total stranger. Donna, who runs the rescue, communicated with me in a way that was completely unprofessional her emails were rude, aggressive, and filled with intimidation. She even involved a supposed “lawyer” w

My sister got a dog from these people. After 2 days, the dog lunged at my sister while she was holding her 1 year old grandson. My sister was terrified. She contacted them and asked them to take the dog back. They refused. Even after her telling them that what happened. Not only did they blame her, they called her horrible names. She did tell them that she was afraid and that she had a permit to carry and was keeping her firearm In the case of an attack as the dog continued to growl and show teeth when children were around. My sister is about 100 pounds and this dog easily weighs 75 pounds.! Of course she was fearful!! Upon further investigation, this dog has been returned for behavioral issues and has a Bite history which they failed to disclose. The dog was returned to a previous foster

Working with Pound Hounds has been one of the most rewarding things I have done besides my children and caring for the elderly! I started out fostering a dog 3 years ago named Luna and she was just the perfect dog. I was amazed at how well Donna had paired up this dog with my family. She ended up being a great nanny dog which my children absolutely love! We had to adopt her and she will stay with us furever. Since Donna was so great to work with we decided to continue to have one foster after we adopted Luna. If the dogs ever need anything from vetting to training Donna is always there to make sure the dogs come first!

I do not recommend working with this Shelter.. As much as all these lovely furry friends need a home the women behind the scenes is not worth the heartache. We were approved to meet and adopt a new guy when the “emails got crossed” and the dog was adopted. It took me emailing multiple times just to get this news. Jessica is a sweet heart, she really tried her hardest to help us on the journey but whom ever is in charge, doesn’t seem to have the common courtesy to write out emails and let people know of the situation in its entirety.
