Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care (Dermatology Only)

My dog Gus has been to several different veterinarian offices and seen several dermatologists over the last few years due to his allergies. Dr.Charbonneau is the best! He is very responsive, understanding, and truly cares. He also listens to all my questions. I so grateful for him and his care for Gus!

We feel we are in good hands with PVESC. Dr. Charbonneau spent plenty of time with us, going over his findings and discussing options for our dog's care. Also, Becca has been so great to work with, and remembered us from our last dog who used to see another specialist. She has always been very helpful from scheduling to the appointments. She is personable, knowledgeable, super helpful and overall terrific! We also appreciate the discharge instructions which are incredibly helpful. Visits can be stressful, so a summary afterwards is priceless.

I brought my Great Dane, Wick, to Dr. Charbonneau after a really bad experience at a dermatologist in NH. Dr. Charbonneau has been absolutely wonderful. He’s compassionate, patient, and caring. Most of all, he’s done a lot to help my baby, Wick, who also suffers from immune mediated polyarthropathy (IMPA). I’m so thankful that I found Dr. Charbonneau. Thanks for being the best dermatology team, PVES!

As always, great care for Roxy. The time taken to explain everything to us and looking after Roxy who is reactive, is always a comfort. Mary was fantastic. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and everyone was great towards Roxy who is reactive in new situations and new people, The staff are the best part of the PVESC

Hobbes took to Dr. Charbonneau right away, which is VERY unusual for him. Dr. Charbonneau & the staff patiently & thoroughly discussed Hobbes' medical history & condition with me, & they acted immediately to determine a diagnosis & treatment plan. I wish that I had followed Hobbes' Veterinarian's suggestion to see Dr. Charbonneau earlier. The vet tech, receptionist (though I believe he does much more than greet people), & doctor were friendly, professional & invested in doing their best for Hobbes. They were all very knowledgeable & they were very patient with & kind to my crazy pup. The focused care & genuine interest in helping Hobbes were amazing & reassuring.
