Back Cove Animal Hospital

I took my husky mix in yesterday for the first time who is timid and fear aggressive when it comes to being touched and meeting new people! Dr. Strickland was absolutely amazing with her and was so patient and calm with her. She did not rush the appointment and knew exactly how to handle a very anxious and vocal dog and was such an amazing advocate for me and my pup. I have never felt so comfortable as a pet parent leaving an appointment!! I have been raving about Back Cove since I left and I am so grateful. Reia is using pacing and anxious during her appointments even when she is medicated but she was taking treats, had some tail wags and was even laying down. ☺️

We love Back Cove. They're kind caring & compassionate. My animals and I love coming here! Anytime I have a concern with one of my pets Back Cove goes above and beyond. We're extremely grateful.

I cannot say enough good things about Back Cove Animal Hospital. Every single time we visit, the staff is warm, calm, and genuinely kind — not just to me, but especially to my cat. What truly sets them apart is how comfortable my cat feels there. He actually likes going to the vet. He walks in confidently, doesn’t resist exams, and has never shown stress the way he has at other clinics. He has hissed at previous vets, but he has zero issues at Back Cove. That tells me everything I need to know about how thoughtfully they handle animals. The team takes their time, explains things clearly, and never makes you feel rushed or pressured. You can tell they respect both the pets and their people. 10 out of 10. The best veterinary experience I’ve ever had — and I’m so grateful we found them.

Back Cove Animal Hospital is the best, our dog Barry has had to have three surgeries with them and through the whole process they were very sweet and gave us all the information we asked for and needed. They love Barry and that makes it feel more welcoming when a vet office shows they actually care about your pups that you bring in. My dog Winnie also goes here and they give all the good treats and love her and care for her as well.

Dr. Monica and staff at Back cove are amazing. The first time I brought in my dog to establish care they were kind, professional, and patient. Dr. Monica was well versed in explaining any questions I had. Excellent care.
