Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital

Our 6MO Great Dane, Sadie, recently had severe pneumonia after being boarded. We were advised by our veterinarian to bring Sadie to Port City and I am so glad we did. The staff is wonderful - knowledgeable, friendly, and transparent. Sadie was given treatment immediately and we were able to bring her home the next day. She’s doing wonderful now and I attribute that to the staff at Port City.

We brought our Golden in on Saturday night after he ate sourdough bread dough. From our first phone call to walking out the door, the experience was as positive as it could be. The love they have for animals is obvious, and their enthusiasm for our special boy made a tough situation better. The Vet and all staff were great at explaining options and reasons for their recommendations, as well as costs. This is why we always come here any time our boy or our cats need after hours or emergency care. Beautiful, sparkling clean facility also.

We can’t thank the team at Port City Vet enough for saving our sweet cat, Spork. She needed emergency surgery and they acted so quickly and compassionately. They kept her for a couple of days after surgery and took such amazing care of her. The text and call updates meant so much while we were worried — they were always kind and informative. Because of their incredible care, we now get to enjoy many more years with our girl. We’ll be forever grateful for everything they did for Spork and for us. ❤️

Dr. Berger was truly wonderful in a moment of midnight emergency stress with our cat. I don’t really know how to describe her bedside manner. Absolutely perfect balance of empathy and information with an unexpected dash of purely natural, unteachable comedic instinct. We would trust her with our pet anytime and are very grateful for her care. Thank you so much, Dr. Berger.

When your pet is ill over the weekend when you can’t see your regular Vet, you need to make a split second decision of where to go. There were a few emergency care hospitals to choose from near where I live, then I quickly read the reviews & chose Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital based on the reviews, made a call & went to see them. I was greeted with friendly faces at check in & brought to a private room. Everyone I saw after that explained the procedures, wait time, tests, test results, etc. The entire staff there (I wish there was room to name them all) were wonderful, caring & professional & Lauren Dorsey, DVM was excellent!! My dog Magnum received the very best care & everything was done to ease his fears, as well as mine. He is home recuperating & on his way back to feeling lik
