Canine Cupboard

I stop here every time I go to Portsmouth! The owner is a very laidback nice man, and you can tell he cares for dogs and animals in general. The selection is good and the treats are always adorable and loved by our pups. Definitely worth stopping in to look at their staples and seasonal selection! Side note: he even asked if the treats were a present and wrapped it up in a cute Christmas bag with a ribbon. I thought that was a very nice touch ❤️

Love the toy and collar and leash selection! Really great gift ideas and to bring home to the pup as a vacation souvenir. Also really nice bags that allow you to fashionably carrier a smaller pup. Gourmet dog cookies are awesome too!

Portsmouth local here, and I’m not one to review places but this store is a must. My wife and I just recently got a pup, and Bill there has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It’s very evident the owners of this store are very enthusiastic and are happy to take their time walking you through every question you might have. The dedication and time they spend with us each time we go on in speaks volumes to why we keep coming back and love supporting our local shops. Special thanks to you Bill! Ziti loves you guys!

I love this store so much. Everything in here is thoughtfully sourced for my little rescue dog. The owner is beyond helpful. Just a great staple and an amazing small business I’m proud to support in our community

Been here several times while visiting Portsmouth.. Cute selection but owner seems like he is indifferent if you purchase from him. The customer service or zeal for customers is non existent. Stop by with me two dog, found out they don’t open till noon, came back at noon no one there, came back at 12:10 the owner shows up as we were leaving he was with his dog. He would have just let us turn and walk away, little in difference if we came in or not. My dogs were excited to see his dog so it was a bit chaotic as he came in. I explained that I would come back once he settled in. He looked at me didn’t say a word and ushered his dog in. I didn’t go back, sorry if we bothered you by wanting to shop at your store. 3 stars is for the selection of stuff we saw in the windows of store.
