We had an amazing experience with Steve and couldn’t be happier. From the very first session, it was clear how knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring they and love what he does. My dog made huge progress in a short amount of time, and I learned so much about how to communicate and build confidence with him. Training was positive, clear, and effective, and my dog actually LOVED the sessions. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trainer who truly understands dogs and their owners. We even plan on having him work with us again when our dog is a bit older!

I truly enjoyed working with Steve Dube from Port City Dog Training. He had quite the challenge with us since we had three 1 year old litter mates to deal with very little socialization skills. I found Steve informative, patient, and fun to work with during the five inhouse sessions and was very surprised at the outcome. We have a ways to go but thanks to Steve, we are heading in the right direction. I would highly recommend Steve and PCDT to anyone interested in developing a better relationship with their cherish pet.

Stephen with Port City Dog Training was fantastic - I so highly recommend him!! We met Steve through classes at the humane society where we got our little pup. We quickly realized we needed 1 on 1 help with her as we've been dog owners prior, but her breed was unfamiliar to us. Wow - Stephen worked with us for 5 sessions/5 weeks. We were amazed at his breadth of knowledge with dog behavior, health, etc. Our puppy reacted to him so positively & loved seeing him everytime. He helped teach us how to work with her, which is the biggest thing. He also even figured out with his knowledge, that we needed to change her food based on symtoms she was dealing with. We hired Steve for basic obedience training for our dog and he was absolutely fantastic. From the first session, he was calm, patient, and clearly very knowledgeable. He explained everything in a way that was easy for us to understand and made sure we felt confident practicing on our own between visits. Our dog improved so much with leash manners, listening to commands, and overall behavior in just a few weeks. You can tell Steve truly cares about both the dogs and the owners he works with.
