PetVet Vaccination Clinic

The girl checking everyone in was wonderful. The tech who held my dog for her shot, however, was unnecessarily rough. They asked how she normally is at the vet. I said "great!" as she wagged her tail and said hi to the three staff members (vet and two techs?) He then proceeded to abruptly grab her in an aggressive choke hold. I have a lot of personal experience in the veterinary field and this kind of animal handling is what causes fear and aggression in animals at the vet. They're honestly lucky she's such a good dog; a fearful dog would have lashed out for sure. These techs need some Fear Free training and to learn that working with animals is not about asserting your dominance and showing off how strong you are.
