The PETSMART in Gurnee is GREAT Used to be not so good The service and the wealth of knowledge and experience has stepped up a lot from the past New management and maybe staff There are 3 managers types that for me in the fish department are just fantastic the time they take and the knowledge is something to be said I started with a 10 gallon column tank and now just came home with a 20 gallon hexagon tank due to the fact the the one guy that was helping me has that exact tank at home If you have brushed off PETSMART in Gurnee because of poor service in the past you owe it to yourself and revisit it

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at PetSmart in Gurnee, specifically with groomer Janna D. I brought my puppy in for a routine grooming and left deeply concerned about his well-being. The grooming itself was unacceptable. His coat was left uneven and poorly finished, with visible inconsistencies throughout. More concerning, his nose appeared irritated and injured after the appointment, which had not been an issue prior to drop-off. What alarmed me most was my dog’s behavior after pickup. He was visibly shaking and distressed the entire drive home, which is completely out of character for him. It strongly suggested that the experience was traumatic rather than simply stressful. To add to this, I was unexpectedly upcharged from $58.00 to $92.00, with the explanation that my pup

Not sure what's happening with the worms lately. It's been almost a few months now where the large meal worms look tiiiiiiny, even the giant ones sometimes look smaller than these. Maybe change the prices to be accommodating with needing to buy double the amount.

Update your tank recommendations if you're not willing to sell fish to people with the tank recommendations listed with the fish care. i was denied a fish that required 20 gals per fish for my 29 gal long tank because "it will be too much hassle" it was also age discrimination from the start with these people. I'm 20 years old. I educated myself on the hobby. But I'm disregarded as a customer. These people would rather these fish live in a shoe box in the wall than sell them to owners because of their holier than thou attitude. Go anywhere else. (Also note the substrate used in this aquarium is all wrong. goldfish play with their substrate, a goldfish could choke on these pebbles.)

I forgot the gentleman who helped me but he is retired from services in the US but he helped me in the fish department and he is outstanding!!!! Store is clean knowledge was great will continue coming here
