Pet Supplies Plus Gurnee

Very welcoming, clean and Gavin was helpful showing me the more durable toys for my pup (which I bought 3 of). But man, the prices of clothes for dogs are a little insane 😳 human clothes are cheaper. Maybe it's just the hype of having a pup now a days.

If I can give 0 stars I would! I had the worst experience of any retail shopping experience with the Manager at the gurnee store location. Around 3:30pm Sunday I came back after deciding to get a albino frog for my son, that's been there for 5 months. It was 25% off. The night before Saturday night, we saw the frog felt sorry/bad its been there for so long. Went home and decided we would adopt him. I told the employee that was helping me today with the frog if there was any leeway with the 25% off again I wasnt expecting to purchase it but wanted to see what customer service options I had. I didn't need a tank just some dirt and a hideaway house. I wanted to see if the discount they gave me i can purchase the rest of what he needed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS TO ANY Pet Supplies Plus for grooming. I started at Grayslake after the grand opening—things went well for several appointments. Then groomers got switched, and my dogs were harmed. Deep lacerations from the clippers to the point that Pet Supplies was willing to pay the vet bill because I brought pictures immediately the next day. I gave them a second chance, and the wounds were worse the second time. Call me crazy, but I thought a third chance at a different store in Gurnee might go better. When I went in today, I got there early to explain my experience and hoped to talk to the groomers to help them keep this experience in mind. I was yelled at for coming too early. After picking her up, I noticed her eye was bloodshot red and swollen. Concerned, I rushed her to the vet, only to be told they were going to treat her injury under suspicion of strangulation and choking! Instead of admitting their fault, the staff at Per Supplies Plus claimed my dog was aggressive, which has NEVER been the case. This was clearly an attempt to cover up their negligence. Anyone and everyone who has come in contact with my mini Aussie has said how sweat, calm , and friendly she is! Our pets deserve better than this! Horrible conditions for All animals being sold do not buy any animals from these big corporations there were visibly sick and underweight ball pythons and dead beta fish in the cups
