PetSmart Grooming

I don’t normally leave bad reviews, I’m beyond disappointed with the level of service at this location. I took my puppy and had selected a few services. They didn’t complete some of the services and still charged me which I don’t mind but upon pick up of my puppy he was given to me damped and not fully dry. I had to take my puppy to emergency care because he got an ear infection which was caused because water went into his ears and wasn’t properly dried. He had to get treated for it. I stated to the vet my puppy had only been taken to this grooming spot and nowhere else. Please be aware and stay on top of things when you take your puppy to this place.

Took my parent’s dog for a spa day while they were out of town. We did the wash and brush + luxury package with earthbath shampoo & conditioner. I opted for no final cologne, and the earthbath has an almost unnoticeable scent. She just smells clean, not perfumey. Amy was great, I felt confident leaving my dog in their care. She did a wonderful job and Abbey (9y/o golden retriever) was noticeably very excited upon picking her up and more playful the rest of the day. She clearly felt like a hundred bucks. Would return.

Didn’t offer to clean my ears which is disappointing and I really needed a shave 🪒 but they were very friendly and put up with me being a service animal with a service animal 😂

Explicit instructions were provided when setting appointment online for grooming, as well as during drop off, to not pluck my puppy’s ear hair (as recommended by the veterinarian). Upon pick up, it turned out that my puppy’s ear hair were plucked! First (and will be the last) time dropping my puppy off at this location. We typically go to Potomac Yards to see Rachel, but she’s since moved and no longer work there. I’m heartbroken. My puppy is traumatized and we’re having to do whatever we can to appease her, but she doesn’t want to be near anyone at the moment.

I hate leaving bad reviews but I’d feel even worse if I don’t let people know how bad this place is. I’ve been to other pet-smart’s grooming salons and they were quite a bit better. The lady was so nice here but my dogs were given to me wet. Their toe pads were not trimmed and their bottom’s fur is very uneven. Their genitalia is extremely irritated and that scares me because I don’t know what happened to cause that. Please pick a different place to take your dogs for grooming.
